Sleep Tracker

I wanted to know how well I was actually sleeping, so I'm building an app for it. You leave your phone on the bed overnight, and in the morning it shows you how the night went.

  • Works out when you fell asleep and how much time you spent in light, deep and REM sleep, just from how much you move.
  • Records snoring or sleep talking, but only when there's something to hear.
  • Gives each night a score and keeps a history, so you can see how your sleep changes over time.
  • I'm testing it on my own phone at the moment, one night at a time.

Next Cities API

An API for searching and comparing cities around the world. It's listed on RapidAPI, so other developers can sign up and use it in their own apps.

  • Covers 913 cities, each with 50+ details like climate, cost of living, safety and transport.
  • Search by name, country or distance, rank cities by what matters to you, or find places similar to a city you like.
  • Has what a public API needs: API keys, rate limits, caching and error tracking.
  • Runs on Railway with a PostgreSQL database, with automated tests behind it.
